F.A.Q

What is CPM, CPC, CPA, and Time Frame campaigns?

CPM campaign is a campaign, where Advertiser pays for banner impressions, no matter how many times the people click on the banners.

CPC stands for "Cost per Click". In CPC campaign the Advertiser pays for the number of clicks on his banner, no matter how many times these banners have been displayed.

CPA stands for "Cost per Action". In CPA campaign the Advertiser pays for the number of certain actions on advertiser's site, performed by the visitors who came to that site by clicking to the banner. These actions can be different: purchasing a product, filling in a form, subscribing to service, etc. BelizeAds Banner Manager provides special mechanism of tracking the actions.

Time Frame (Sponsorship) campaign means selling a certain advertising space for a fixed period of time.

For example, selling "all top banners", or "left 120x600 banner on the Home page" for 3 months.

What is CTR?

CTR stands for Click-Through Ratio. It tells how many clicks were made per 100 impression. It's the most important indication of banner effectiveness.

For example, CTR 2% (2.0) means that your banner was displayed 100 times, and two visitors clicked on it.

CTR mostly depends on the appropriate advertising campaign (banner) targeting. BelizeAds provides tools for very accurate and effective targeting.

What are web site and web page?

BelizeAds uses the commonly acknowledged concept of a web site: it is a number of pages connected by navigation and topic and situated on the same domain name.

Web page is a part of a web site. It is a static or dynamically generated html-document which can be displayed in a web browser. In case of frames, each frame is considered a separate page.

What is AdZone?

AdZone unites a number of Banner places with the same parameter (for example Category, Site Section, Page Section) or combination of parameters.

In other words, AdZone is a bunch of Banner places, which can be treated as a single "collective" object. BelizeAds directs Advertising banner traffic to AdZones, rather than to single Banner places - this is more flexible and powerful approach.

What is banner impression, click and action?

Banner impression is detected and counted when a banner is displayed to a visitor by web a browser, so that he/she is able to see it.

Click is detected and counted when a visitor clicks on banner and is transferred to corresponding Advertiser's site.

Action is detected and counted when a visitor clicks on banner and then performs the agreed type of action at advertiser's site, for example, purchases something or fills in a form, etc. In order to be able to conduct CPA (Click per action) campaigns, advertiser should have a special agreement and arrangement with the site owner.

What is Target Group?

Target Group is one of BelizeAds original concepts: it is a set of customizable settings (regions, Hour of the day, Day of the Week, categories, IP subnets, visitor's language, site sections, page sections), which define (shape) a certain target audience. First you create and configure Target Groups and then assign them to certain campaigns and/or banners, so that these campaigns and banners are targeted to the defined audience.

For example you can shape the following sophisticated Target Groups (audience) for your product:

"USA citizens, who are interested in Personal Finance and Politics resources, who surf the Web during business hours on business days, using AOL internet service, and who read "News" and "Download" sections of the site(s)."

Target Groups can be simpler, if you wish, for example:

"English-speaking people interested in computer games."
